The original Casa Karma in beautiful Conchas Chinas. So near and yet so far! This distinctive property is within walking distance to our very colorful old town, and we are the farthest point south from which you can walk cavorting in the waves all the way to the Zona Romantica.

Javier, our passionate professional Chef, will be eager to help customize your menus to suit your individual palates. You will find unusual selections on the expansive menus (we even have abalone!) Meals are handsomely plated and are properly served by our trained staff. We shall prepare all the food items on or off the menu. Just ask!

Casa Karma commands a privileged location at the southern end of Conchas Chinas Beach

The villa and the event terraces nestle around a small semi-private beach, and visitors are lulled with the constant wave action on the rocks below. Spectacular Vallarta sunsets are worth waiting for, with a natural fireworks show just about every evening!

Retire to one of our eight individually designed suites, seven with King beds and one with two double beds, all with stunning views of the bay spread out before you. Each room is named and tastefully appointed with original art.

CASA KARMA’S STORY

The original villa was built in 2001 as a six-bedroom rental property. From the street, you only saw a skylight. The current owners bought the property in 2006, upgraded it significantly, and it was a private villa until 2013.

In 2013, they fortuitously bought the adjoining property and added on the expansive bar and the three event terraces, the lobby, the bridge, and the top-level, two-story penthouse. In 2015 the property experienced a brief stint as a boutique resort and was consistently rated among the highest in Puerto Vallarta on TripAdvisor.

In 2018, Casa Karma returned to its former glory and became a private luxury villa, now with its expansive event space. In 2018-2019 the villa was voted Most Romantic Getaway in Puerto Vallarta in the Vallarta Tribune.

The Art and the Energy

Casa Karma has been filled with fine art and furnishings from the owners’ travels as well as their personal relationships with several renowned local artists. As the owner Georgia says, “Each item has a story behind it!”

Marta Gilbert, an iconic Native American artist, is a frequent visitor and friend of the house, which has perhaps one of the largest private collections of her works. The bronze located in the upper lobby was her first effort in bronze and is named “Karma.” She recently dedicated a bronze to the city of Puerto Vallarta named “Identidad” in a walkway along the Rio Cuale.

Anado McLauchlin, another expat artist based in San Miguel de Allende, has a whole collection of mosaics at Casa Karma. A mandala can be found in each of the suites. The cupula above the main staircase is completely his creation. The dragonfly mosaics near the pool and on the labyrinth terrace are his.

The labyrinth itself has its own rather spiritual story. Before the owners bought the adjoining property that now makes up the event terraces, three other efforts to develop the property into huge condominiums all failed. Once having taken over the property, Georgia felt a strong sense of belonging to it and stewardship over it, and had the labyrinth created to help visitors tap into a strong center of energy and consciousness that’s even been blessed by an indigenous shaman. The labyrinth is one of only 14 in Mexico registered with the The Labyrinth Society, and Georgia is working to have it deeded permanently to the City of Puerto Vallarta to keep it from ever being developed.

A 6 bedroom minimum booking is required to host celebratory events at Casa Karma

EVENT PLANNER; All events must be coordinated by a local event planner.

STAFF; the staff is there to serve the renters and does not participate in the wedding- catering service.

FIREWORKS; Fireworks are allowed but must be set off by the ocean-front and by an approved technician

The release of Chinese lanterns are not allowed due to a high-risk fire hazard or palapas nearby

QUIET HOURS; Casa Karma is located in a residential area and music must be muted by 11:00 pm and extension permit can be requested coordinated with the event planner to the city.

The Perfect Destination Wedding at Casa Karma

We do weddings for everyone! Are you dreaming of a beautiful, romantic and affordable destination wedding? Traditional weddings are expensive, hectic and you spend very little time with your guests. For less than the price of a one-day traditional wedding in the US or Canada, you can have a 4-5 day wedding vacation with your family and friends at Casa Karma! The Event Terraces at Casa Karma are the perfect oceanfront venue for your special day with space for up to 200 guests. Our event space is also perfect for small weddings. Our Wedding Salon is unique on the south side of Puerto Vallarta. It is a beautiful oceanfront wedding dressing room for the wedding party. The entrance from the Wedding Salon can become a dramatic and beautiful entrance down the staircase onto the lower event terrace where the wedding party and guests will be watching and waiting.

All 3 of our terraces have romantic fountains and lush landscaping. Our garden terrace is a beautiful setting for photographs before or after the wedding and a perfect setting to have an outdoor lounge area for your guests before or after the wedding. Our main terrace has a fireplace, wood-fired pizza oven, and a service bar as well as air-conditioned public restrooms for your guests. Our new Catering Kitchen has plenty of space for your caterer to provide excellent food, beverage, and service for the reception or dinner afterward. Our lower terrace is perfect for a sit-down dinner for up to 140 people following a reception on the main terrace. After dinner, dance the night away on the main terrace or the lower terrace, both of which are pre-wired for sound and light systems.

Dramatic oceanfront or beach views, romantic fountains and lush landscaping abound for beautiful wedding photos before, during and after the ceremony. You and your bride or groom can stay in our amazing 2 story honeymoon suite with your own private dipping pool. Up to 16 additional family or friends can stay in our other 7 designer guest suites. We have arrangements with nearby hotels for all of your additional family or friends. (1 next door and 1 only a 1/4 mile away). Worried that a destination wedding would be too complicated? We have an excellent network of wedding and event planners, private chefs, caterers, florists, musicians, and DJ’s. They have all of the contacts necessary to make certain your wedding is exactly what you have in mind.
